The Most Terrifying Furry Costumes, Now in Time for the Holidays!

it's a free country

NorthFur FX really goes that extra mile in making outfits, masks, and prosthetics for grown adult humans who want to dress up as animals in the in the most lifelike costumes available on the market.  From the Q&A:

Why do you make so many animal type prosthetics?

We simply prefer making animals.  There aren’t many available and it comes up very often in plays and LARPs and even in fandoms that people would want animal characters.  Witches and devils and demons have been done time and time again by many other companies, yet no one has taken the time to make a horse, a frog or even any beaks.

I am a LARPER, which prosthetics are best?

Any prosthetic with a shorter muzzle will be best since it’s less protruding from your face and will be less likely to be hit by a boffer weapon. The type of material depends on your preference and budget.

Who are these boffers and larpers in our midst, and what is their agenda?  I have no idea, after the jump.  (Also, scary, scary videos.)   Continue »

Tomorrow the Internet Is Holding “A Day Without Cats”

i really am from the internet

Remember “A Day Without Megan Fox” last month?  Prob not, since if you were in or around FListed, you were way down in the VIP Internet Dungeon, where you couldn’t hear the silence up above in the Main Internet Room, because you were partying it up with Megan Fox and Lady GaGa and all your other internet friends on A Day of Only Megan Fox.

But now, in a most cheeky send-up of A Day Without Megan Fox, Urlesque has declared tomorrow A Day Without Cats, to be observed by the various websites that post videos and pics of cats a lot.  So I put the question to you, readers: would you like to make tomorrow A Day Without Cats at FListed… or A Day of Only Cats?   Continue »

New Just-for-Pets Airline Will Only Increase Domesticated Terrorism

JetBlue?? Mr. Shambles does not f*cking fly JetBlue!

An airline for pets?  First reaction, obviously: stupid.  Way stupid.  Like bakeries for your dog and health spas for your parrot aren’t indulgent enough.  What with people starving out there (, man).

Pet Airways will fly a pet between five major cities–New York, Washington, Chicago, Denver, and Los Angeles. The $250 one-way fare is comparable to pet fees at the largest U.S. airlines.

Additionally, the pet airline only flies out of the JV regional airports in these cities, so instead of carting Peppy to O’Hare with you, you have to make a special trip to Blagojevich Int’l.  And the flights take longer than yours, because they stop at every airport (NY to LA in 24 hrs).  But maybe this isn’t as bad an idea as it sounds?   Continue »

Seems to be a slow news day for celebrity females acting out in clubs.  But not everyone’s obsessed with Camron Diaz quasi-nipple-showings.  Some people are obsessed with rabbits.

Authorities said a woman obsessed with rabbits is in trouble again: In violation of probation terms, she was found holed up in a hotel room with more than a dozen rabbits. Officers said they had to break into the room Tuesday and found eight adults and half a dozen baby rabbits, one dead. The police say some were caged, some roaming.

But she was already on thin ice for much more serious rabbit-related offenses…   Continue »
