Erykah Badu's Nakedness At JFK Assassination Site Doesn't Fly

This chick is a long way from calling Tyrone, don’t you think? Erykah Badu, who has flown under the musical radar for some years now, is making a splash in a big and possibly illegal way with her new video “Window Seat.” Check out the video after the jump.

There is no doubt that Erykah has made a name for herself at being slightly off-beat, but her decision to strip down in her latest video is taking it to a whole new level. In “Window Seat,” the singer can be seen walking down a Dallas sidewalk before stripping naked and collapsing near the spot where President John F. Kennedy was assassinated. To make things just that much more tasteful, a gun shot can be heard in the distance seconds before Erykah hits the ground.

The singer says that she was taunted by pedestrians who apparently weren’t thrilled at Erykah showing off her goodies, but that she didn’t pay much mind to them as she and her cameraman were too busy keeping an eye out for cops. There were also children nearby to witness the nakedness, but Erykah just hopes that they weren’t too traumatized. Well isn’t that sincere. Authorities said that Erykah could have faced up to a year in jail for her naked antics because she and her crew did not get the appropriate permits for the shoot.

While I certainly commend out of the box thinking and innovative videos, I’m still on the fence about this one. I’m still trying to figure out if this truly is a political statement or just an excuse for Erykah to show her assets off. Could go either way. Check out the video below and judge for yourself.
