Fish Masturbation…There's An App for That
Yes, you definitely read that correctly. According to Gizmodo, “Fishbate” is a new app that is meant to simulate the glorious stimulation of a fishy friend. Apparently, when you give your iPhone a good shake, users can hear plesure-filled slurping sounds from an on-screen fish, while the phone’s vibrations increase as you approach the climactic 50 shake mark. Once users bring the fish to its summit of shaking ecstasy, the fish spews a white liquid before unceremoniously dying. So what is the point of this app, other than making a fish very, very happy before it croaks? The goal is to shake the fish 50 times as fast as you can in order to achieve high scores and beat other players. The company producing this app is even working on an upgrade to the current version in which a multiplayer, Bluetooth function would be available. The perfect party game!
The app is available for free until February 1st. After that date users get charged for pleasuring their fish. The app has been given a 9+ rating for “infrequent/mild realistic violence,” bit of an understatement don’t you think? Especially since Apple has made it pretty well known that it isn’t down for pornographic images and nudity in its assortment of apps. But I guess fish ejaculate is a-okay with them.
