Charlie Sheen Screws Himself

Charlie Sheen wasn’t trying to bring out the Christmas cheer this year. The actor was arrested for domestic violence on Christmas Day after allegedly attacking his wife Brooke Mueller. The story is fuzzy at best right now. It was originally reported that Brooke told a 911 operator that Charlie had threatened her with a knife, however she later recanted much of her story. It was also revealed that Brooke was legally drunk when she placed the call. But Charlie isn’t taking the charge lying down, as he claims that his wife was the aggressor in the situation and that he was just trying to defend himself.

The Sheen team is in full panic mode as they try to lessen the publicity blow that the incident has inflicted on Charlie’s image. The actor is currently the highest-paid sitcom star on TV for his role in “Two and a Half Men.” And while this may seem all well and good for the former-Mr. Denise Richards, his contract is up in less than a year and bad publicity, especially of the wife-beating variety, could guarantee a ticket straight to the unemployment line.

Though rumors have swirled that Charlie and Brooke’s relationship was taking quite the beating (sorry, I couldn’t resist) as of late, Charlie’s manager told RadarOnline that the couple had no plans of divorcing. Sure, Mr. Manager, whatever you say.
