Do Women Want More Money or More Sex?

sometimes you're too busy wanting to be an engineer to have time for sex

It’s like the old saying goes: “If you have sex and money all the time, awesome.”  Yet what if you could only have more of one?  AOL and the NY Daily News each polled women asking if they’d rather have more sex or an extra $50 a week.  One reponse:

“I would rather have savings that can create some stability in my life than momentary pleasure,” she added. “I have cut down majorly on eating out, drinking and shopping.”

So: wahhh wahhh the recession, everyone cries.  But is this the typical answer?  The Daily News found that in money vs. sex…

All but one of the women chose the money.

“I’m a college student. I’d rather pay off student loans. I need the money more than sex right now.”

Kim Bennet, 29, was a little more philosophical – noting it depends on the man.

“The goodness of the tradeoff has to be taken into consideration. It’s on a case-by-case basis,” she reasoned. “But, in most cases, I would probably go with the $50.”

But the lone dissident was like, can you put a price on sex?

“Sex is definitely worth more than $50,” said Melanie L., 39, from Murray Hill. “I’ve been married happily for four years. What’s with the money and full pockets? We’re not gonna take it with us when we die. I’d rather die a happy woman.”

And you know what?  She’s right.  Sex is usually worth at least $200, depending on the city you’re in.

I would take sex because with a relationship comes the perks. Money comes and goes that 50 bucks will be gone the same day. But good sex creates good relationships that last. That one woman was smart but there is usually only one smart woman among hundreds of idiots.
