Video(s): Reality TV Contestants Are Not Here to Make Friends

Last year, a guy with a blog made a special video montage to painstakingly document the annals of reality TV camaraderie. There have been hundreds of reality shows now, with thousands of competitors ranging from completely obscure to bantamweight famous. Their backgrounds, attitudes, and personalities could not be more different (in a producer-orchestrated-abrasiveness-guaranteed way, of course), yet they all have one thing in common: they’re not here to make friends.

Why aren’t they here to make friends? Last year’s montage, plus a brand new one, just compiled for 2009, after the jump.

They have plenty of friends back home, they don’t need any more friends.

They’re here for [Bret, Flav, Tila, etc].

They’re here to find love.

They’re here for the money.

They came on this show to be friends with Paris.

This is not America’s Next Top Best Friend.
