Michael Bay Made Megan Fox Wash His Ferrari Before Casting Her in “Transformers”

Every day seems to bring ever more delightful news of the antics of Transformers director Michael Bay. Last week, he dropped the now-oft-quoted gem that
Nick Cage wasn’t a big actor when I cast him, nor was Ben Affleck before I put him in “Armageddon.” Shia LaBeouf wasn’t a big movie star before he did “Transformers”—and then he exploded. Not to mention Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, from “Bad Boys.” Nobody in the world knew about Megan Fox until I found her and put her in “Transformers.” I like to think that I’ve had some luck in building actors’ careers with my films.
Which is funny because it is both inaccurate and because he cobbled together a pretty b-grade set of thespians for his “I made you” list, each of whom has appeared in between 0 and 1 good movies, none of those directed by Michael Bay. Now word comes that as part of the casting process for Transformers, he videoed Megan Fox washing his Ferrari…
From the NY Post:
When the sizzling star of “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” went to director Michael Bay’s house to audition for the part, “He made her wash his Ferrari while he filmed her,” reports Jason Solomons in Britain’s Guardian. “She said she didn’t know what had happened to that footage. When I put it to Bay himself, he looked suitably abashed — ‘Er, I don’t know where it is either.’ “
But that was nothing compared to how he forced Shia LaBeouf to wrestle Optimus Prime naked in a kiddie pool filled with pudding. The Megan Fox cheerleader carwash thing is funnier in light of a statement he made about her last week:
Well, that’s Megan Fox for you. She says some very ridiculous things because she’s 23 years old and she still has a lot of growing to do.
Michael Bay, quite the grownup himself while sitting in his driveway with a visor pulled over his face, one hand gripping a camcorder that was obviously not even on, the other hand down his cargo shorts as he points out to desperate actresses where they missed a spot cleaning his Ferrari and how they’d have to try harder than that if they wanted to be cast in his movie about giant toy robots.
Don’t get me wrong, if the video happened to leak onto the internet, I would watch it, and only because I’m that big a fan of Megan Fox’s acting.

And an apt Michael Bay parody here.
