Russian Pig Farmer May Buy the Britney Spears Mansion

Britney Spears is selling her 7500 square-foot Beverly Hills mansion – or trying to, anyway.  The house was first listed on the market in September at $7.9 million, but earlier this month, this price was slashed to $6.5 million.

This has attracted an unexpected potential buyer, a 48-year-old Russian farmer known only as Alexei.  Alexei’s real estate holdings are already significant:

“The man has primarily been involved in agriculture for the past 16 years. At the current time among Alexei’s assets are 1,000 hectares of land, two pig farms, horticultural gardens and fruit and vegetable production facilities.”

Alexei has worked hard to become rich from the fat of the land.  As a boy in the old country, he dreamed someday he would buy a house of his own that had previously been the scene of a bald-headed celebrity psychotic’s involuntary capture by the L.A.P.D. that ended with her committed to a mental hospital.  Yup, that’s the house in question.

Apparently one of the reasons he was attracted to the property is that his three daughters are huge Britney Spears fans.

“My daughters couldn’t believe it when I told them. That they really could live in the home of their idol,” the Russian was cited as saying in a statement.

According to a real estate blog, the house has

A wet bar, a library, a den, high ceilings and stone and mosaic tile floors. The master bedroom has a fireplace and a loggia. Then there’s the pool, spa and arbor.

But where will he grow the cabbages?
