Oh, yeah, Kevin Costner, I totally remember Kevin Costner. Wasn’t he the guy in, uh… The Usual Suspects? Hmm no, that was Kevin Spacey. Wait, he was in Young Guns, right? No, hold up, that was Kiefer Sutherland. Or Lou Diamond Phillips maybe.
No, I remember now – he’s from The Ellen DeGeneres Show. No? Oh shoot, you’re right, that was… Ellen DeGeneres.
Kevin Costner did that Turkish Airlines commercial! That’s right! Click through to view Turkish Airlines: A Tragedy in One Act, starring Kevin Costner’s career.
Some blues singer in the background keeps crooning, “I feel like a staaar,” as various Turkish Airlines employees smile vaguely at Kevin Costner. At 1:12, he jumps into a picture a man is taking of his family, and then strides off all smiley, as the confused and slightly alarmed Turkish man gives a look of, who the f*ck was that? Indeed, confused and slightly alarmed Turkish man. Indeed.

Nice ad…
I agree and like the ad. Much more intelligent than most. If people more read or even listened to the news they would know that Turkish Airlines had a tragic accident (crash) and, knowing Kevin’s history of supporting good causes, would understand that he agreed to do this commercial partly as a way to help them and others affected begin to heal. It came about after Kevin and his Band, Modern West, had played a great concert in Turkey as part of a promotional tour. While there, he met many of the Turkish Airline execs who later asked him to film the commercial, but then held it for an appropriate period of time before running it as part of the process of rebuilding and healing. So many haters . . . find more positive and constructive things to do with your time / energy than tearing others down. What have you done or accomplished with your so-called life?
