DMX Is As Surprised As Anyone That He’s Not Going Back to Prison

Misdemeanor all-star DMX usually summers in the federal penitentiary, but it looks like this year, he may have other plans.  Try as he might to get incarcerated, X today instead received 18 months of probation plus fees and fines and time served for “attempted aggravated assault.”

For those of you keeping score at home, DMX was last released from prison about three weeks ago.  Although the new charge is from a February incident, while X was still imprisoned.  This man plans in advance.  He does not simply sit around and let crime come to him.  Details of the arrest, after the jump.

After X failed to report for his medication, officials say the former platinum rapper began cussing at officers and threatened to “assault somebody to get some respect.” 

It all started when he refused to report for work, telling officers, “I already have a job and don’t need this (expletive).”

They tried to put him on kitchen duty again and everyone knows X only does library duty.

But in all seriousness, DMX is a crazy man and the setting is prison, where people yell a lot of things, especially when they forget their medication.  He got a felony conviction for yelling while in prison?
