Alien Prequel Confirmed

Alien prequel is in the works.

Ridley Scott’s 1979 film, Alien, is probably one of my favorite Sci-Fi thrillers of all time.  It’s now being reported that the film previously known as Alien 5 is actually a prequel and is in the beginning stages of development, which is awesome.  However, after the last piece of crap in the Alien franchise I don’t know if I should be excited about this film.

Keep reading to check out the details of the prequel>>>

The film, which is slated to explain the circumstances under which the space jockey spaceship came to be.  According to Tony Scott, Carl Rinsch is set to direct the prequel, the virtually unknown has been directing commercials for Tony & Ridley Scott’s advertising company.  Tony says that Carl is “One of the family,” and therefore can be trusted with aptly bringing the vision for the prequel to the big screen.  Tony also says the plan is to get to filming by the end of the year.  There’s been no reports of the status of the script or who’s being tapped to write it.  I suppose that will make all the difference in the outcome of the film overall.

What do you guys think, will this prequel just be another piece of garbage or can the franchise be respected like the Star Trek one with a smart script and great talent in front of and behind the camera?

I can’t believe they’re making another “Alien” movie. They should’ve stopped after “Alien 3.” Now I have to sit through yet a FIFTH film? When will these film series ever end? It just proves that Hollywood is out of original ideas after all.

As long as they don’t give the script to McFuckup aka “McG” to direct then I don’t think it’d be such a bad idea. The pos known as “Terminator: Salvation” was a complete disaster.
