I might be a lady, but I can tell you, for sure, that Fight Club changed how I thought. It’s probably why I went mental for a couple of years and all I did was drink and fight and f*ck all night. I mean, you’re supposed to put your life on hold every so often and do something like that, right?
Anyways, this past weekend Spike TV held their Guy’s Choice Awards and the film Fight Club was inducted into their “Guy Hall of Fame” and rightfully so. There’s very few films that incorporate all levels of awesomeness into it like Fight Club does. Badass behavior? Check. Antiestablishmentarianism? Check. Psychopathic split personality disorder? Check. A love story that doesn’t make me want to barf all over the screen? Check.
Keep reading after the jump to hear what happened when Brad Pitt, Edward Norton and director David Fincher went on stage to accept the award from Mel Gibson>>>
Actor, director and all around hypocrite, Mel Gibson was at the Spike TV Guy’s choice awards to honor the men of Fight Club: Brad Pitt, Edward Norton and director David Fincher with the award for their film being inducted into the “Guy Hall Of Fame.” When Brad Pitt got onto stage he thanked Mel Gibson for his introduction by calling him “Sugartits.” An homage to when Mel Gibson was arrested for drunk driving in Malibu, California and he called the female cop on duty, “Sugartits.” Can these guys get any more awesome? Probably not since they’re all starting to age, but man, this is awesome for me regardless.
For your viewing pleasure a clip from the movie. This should drive you to dig up your copy of Fight Club and spend the rest of the day watching it.
