Drunken Ukranian Interior Minister Prevented from Boarding Plane, Invokes "Sorry I Party" Defense
What’s new today in drunk Russians? Well, this actually happened last week, but if you missed it, the Interior Minister of the Ukraine, Yury Lutsenko, was prevented from boarding a Lufthansa flight in Frankfurt with his 19-year-old son, because they were “severely drunk.” When asked by a reporter whether the minister would face repercussions, Supreme Rada member Gennady Moskal answered,
“If every MP who appeared on the streets intoxicated were brought before the faction, it would cease to exist in a month, since, as far as I know, there are no non-drinkers in the faction.” Moskal was dismissive of the scandal. “I only know that, for Germans, a mug of beer is drunkenness,” he claimed.
How great is that defense? “Scandal? The only scandal I see here is that your country is a bunch of chachfaces.”
