Corpses Are Having Sex Right in Our Museums
A new exhibition called “Body Worlds” that features over 200 human bodies, preserved and posed, just opened in Berlin. This, in itself, is not new or weird – you’ve probably seen or at least heard of the “Bodies” exhibition that bounces around U.S. cities. But the Berlin show has a special twist:
In one exhibit a male body is lying on his back with a woman sitting astride him with her back towards his head.
The bodies, which are preserved using a method that replaces fats and liquids with hardening plastic, are donated by
people, who during their lifetime, declared their willingness, by informed consent, to display their bodies at the exhibition for the “benefit of education, health and the awareness of the wide public to the different systems of the human body.”
When I die, I am going to donate my body to science. I am going to donate my body to science so that all the children can go to a museum and learn how to reverse-cowgirl from a science exhibit that shows dead people f*cking.
