New DJ Hero Video Game Makes No One a Hero

This fall, we’ll have three more ways to be heroic on a video game: Guitar Hero 5, Band Hero, and DJ Hero.  One potential flaw here, though – GH operates on the assumption that everyone secretly wants to be a sick guitar shredder.  Yet who fantasizes about mixing the music of other musicians together?  Right, people who can’t actually play instruments.  Here’s how DJ Hero works: press A to play “Pokerface,” B to play “Don’t Stop Believin’,” and C to cue up Bob with the morning traffic report.

The company’s groundbreaking DJ Hero expands Guitar Hero’s signature social gaming to all-new consumers with the addition of diverse music genres including hip-hop, R&B, Motown, electronica and dance. Introducing an all-new innovative turntable controller, DJ Hero transforms players into DJs who rule the club scene by creating original mixes of popular songs and music from the world’s most exciting artists and DJs.

Also, Band Hero is just Guitar Hero without the sex lyrics.  Vagina Hero is still under development.

The best at guitar hero, isn’t that like being the smartest kid with downs syndrome?

Let’s not discredit the DJ’s though. There are a lot of kids that aspire to be them, it is a difficult art and the turntable (although sounds are borrowed) are their instruments. Check out a few Qbert Videos or Kid Koala vids and you’ll know exactly what I mean.

F-that! This is going to be awesome!
