Convert Dirty Websites into the Clean Prose of Charles Dickens!

Perhaps you like to browse those vomit-inducing sites that get forwarded around the internet.  You know, the ones in which old men are having orgies or girls are defecating into cups.  You inevitably think to yourself, what would Charles Dickens say about this picture of a horse penetrating a man to death?  Enter dickensurl.com, the website that converts any URL into the words of Charles Dickens.  I’ve run a few of your favorite sites through it.

First, I tried zany, hysterical quasi-news site cnn.com:

“Whatever was required to be done, the Circumlocution Office was beforehand with all the public departments in the art of perceiving HOW NOT TO DO IT.”

From Little Dorrit

Huh!  Then, in the spirit of today’s posts, I ran asherroth.com:

“Dead, your Majesty. Dead, my lords and gentlemen. Dead, Right Reverends and Wrong Reverends of every order. Dead, men and women, born with Heavenly compassion in your hearts. And dying thus around us every day.”

From Bleak House
I’ve saved you the work and thrown youporn.com in there:
“The men who learn endurance, are they who call the whole world brother.”
From Barnaby Rudge
Yet it seems the women are always calling them Daddy in return, as I’m sure Dickens knew too well.  And finally, of course, FListed.com:

“That vague kind of penitence which holidays awaken next morning.”

From The Old Curiosity Shop

It feels like morning-after regret in here?  Ouch, Dickens.
