Stripper Impostor Makes High-School Reunion Bearable

Andrea Wachner high school reunion stripper

Ah, the high-school reunion.  Hating the high-school reunion has become even more of a cliche than the high-school reunion itself.  Everyone at your high school was so fake!  They judged you based on clothes and cars!  Only Mr. Lipnicki the theater teacher understood you, and he’s dead now!  Truly, the reunion will have to be way bad, goes your thinking.  But what if you sent a stripper to pose as you instead?  And then you filmed the whole experience?  Andrea Wachner, high-school loser, did just that.

The result is “I Remember Andrea,” a six-minute film that emphasizes the snobbishness of Andrea’s high school (it opens with a trip through a parking lot full of BMWs and Benzes) before setting Andrea’s striptease doppelganger loose amid the tipsy, balding storm of her ten-year reunion.  Andrea hired “Cricket,” a tattooed, fishnet-wearing dancer, to play “Andrea,” a shy girl who got amnesia and plastic surgery after high school and… somehow changed.

The video is pretty funny – Cricket looks like she also had never attended a high school reunion or a high school, but she works well on her feet.  At one point, when she’s called out as an impostor by a classmate who grew up to be a trophy wife, she yells, “I hated you!” and stomps off.  She maximizes the discomfort of the sad, fake-tanned bankers and brokers, at one point describing her bicep tattoos (“I have a bunny whipping another bunny.”)

And there’s a happy ending: Andrea gets her comedy movie, and her classmates get a striptease at their reunion.  And Cricket gets six wrinkled, Malibu-stained one-dollar bills.

Story: ABC.

  4. THIS should be a full length movie. Excellent idea, and much more could be built upon it. Someone should help her grow this idea.
