Douchebag of the Day: German Pop Star Arrested Knowingly Giving Several Men HIV

It’s a scary world out there. If it wasn’t for STDs and HIV, I’m not gonna lie, I’d be having sex with everyone. Well, not everyone everyone. A girl must have standards!

Via The Guardian UK (via Nerve.com‘s Scanner blog):

A singer from Germany’s most successful girl group has been arrested on suspicion that she infected an ex-partner with the HIV virus, prosecutors confirmed today.

A spokesman for the state prosecutor’s office in the western city of Darmstadt said in a statement: “There is urgent suspicion that in the years 2004 and 2006 the accused had unprotected sex with three people without informing them in advance that she herself was HIV positive.”

The statement continued: “At least one of the three partners undertook a test which showed that he – allegedly as a result of the contact – is now also HIV positive himself.”

Yeah, I don’t know what makes people think that they are impervious to catching something that causes itching, oozing, and possibly death by trusting their partner’s “word.”

Methinks it’s better to find a f*ck-buddy worthy of satisfying your sexual appetite, getting tested, bumping bunnies, and then just date everyone else on the side. Sounds fantastic, doesn’t it?

  2. Chanel Shades says:

Im gonna need some proof. Not many women infect men with HIV, usually men give it to other men or men give it to other women. This sounds false.

That is a nasty and selfish thing to intentionally pass HIV to her partners. She should b charged w/murder! Just cuz she got a pretty face and healthy looking body dont mean shit! Have we forgot Magic Johnson got this disease from a woman??

  8. SMH says:

Use a fucking condom you damn ass ppl or better yet have the courage to ask about the sexual status of the person you wanna fuck before you fuck them. If you don’t have the common sense to take care of your body then good for your ass. Evolution at it’s finest.

  9. mztique says:

to chanel shades: r u stupid? if a man can give a woman HIV, obviously it can go the other way too. that’s a really dumbass comment to make. anyway she should go to jail because she’s lucky that none of them died.

  10. Sprocket says:

    Mztique,

I have been tested for diseases before having unprotected sex with a new partner. Medical professionals have always looked at me askance because they always, always say that as a straight man it’s very difficult for me to get infected by HIV.

Unless a man has a lesion of some sort and has sex with an HIV positive woman who also has a lesion, or is on her period there is a very low chance of the man becoming infected.

It’s about the absorption of bodily fluids after all.

Regardless, obviously it makes the most sense to both be tested to be sure, before having unprotected sex. It’s an adult thing to do. After all, if you can’t talk about it in the first place, you shouldn’t be fucking.

  11. mztique says:

well i’m still a virgin but i know how about the different ways of getting hiv, and what i meant to say after all was that yeah the guy can have lesions and become infected. but thanks sprocket for the extra info.

  12. Sprocket says:

    Mztique,

how is this even an issue for you if you are a virgin? I don’t know your age, but for sure, the best thing to do is be careful but not paranoid.

Life is meant to be enjoyed, not feared.

  13. LMAO says:

that’s one crazy bitch…. shes’ pretty tho love her hair

  14. anonymous says:

“SMDH How about you use a condom until you know someone AND get tested!!!”

one of them did for a while and now he is infected because she did not bother to tell him. she should not have done this. this story is so sad.

  15. none says:

    @ Sprocket

If, after educating herself about the risks involved, she chooses to wait to have sex, that’s simply her choice. It doesn’t mean she’s “fearful.”

If your enjoyment in life comes from having sex, then that’s your choice as well. Don’t be so judgmental towards another individual’s lifestyle choices. Live and let live.

  16. Sprocket says:

    @ none

My comment was not meant to either encourage or discourage her from having sex. It was merely questioning the POV of someone who is not in the milieu of the issue.

Everyone is of course entitled to their opinion, I was making an effort to put it in context. I found it interesting to hear her opinion and wanted more information.

  17. KatyC.Arnold says:

I think this women deserve serious prison time at least eight years for being HIV positive and passing this terrible diease onto her partners. But at the same time the men are at fault as well because they should care enough about themselves to ask her to get tested and wear condoms to protect themselves from sexually trasmitted dieases. These people don’t care about themselves. So it’s justed up to the indivdual to care about themselves.

    Sincerely,

    KatyC.Arnold

  18. thegossipmoral says:

Well thanks to advances in drug-technology HIV is NOT a death sentence anymore. This woman should’ve warned her partners about having HIV so she should be held accountable for that. It is sad because someone gave her the disease as well — she is also a victim.

As far as getting tested, helps, but only a little bit. It can take years for HIV to show up in a test so unless you test and wait 5 yrs before you have sex with a person, a negative result is as good as useless.

It’s best to try to find a good partner and settle down!

  19. mrssmith says:

It’s sad to say that we have evil ppl out there in the world, that feel someone gave it to me so i’m going to give it to other’s, it’s the gift that keeps on giving, but when it all boils down GOD IS GOD and he will and can punish her and anyone else worst than man can ,ppl that feel that way will die a slow and very very painful death you live by the sword you shall die by the sword that’s the word of GOD!all we can do is pray for the one’s she’s infected and the one’s they may have infected, pray changes results

  20. lisalisa says:

Thats sad but men need to start taking responsibility for their own health and stop screwing ladies unprotected because it feels better. There are still some men out there that refuse to wear a condom.

  21. black vegan says:

My science professor told our class that it is very remote for a woman to pass HIV to a man. The odds and risks are less for man to get HIV from a woman. It is exchanging body fluids I would not be surprised it the men that she slept with participated in highly risky behavior such as drugs, anal sex and needles which depressed the immune system and leads to testing positive for HIV. People should be examining their behaviors so they can avoid getting testing positive for HIV.

  22. mztique says:

well i’m wasn’t being paranoid when i said that, but i acknowlegde that i made a mistake. and btw, i’m 19.

  23. mztique says:

in fact, i look forward to having sex.

  24. mztique says:

    @ thegossipmoral

that’s true though. here in canada, there was a ugandan man who was spreading hiv and he wasn’t telling his partners, and two of them died. so that was what i was thinking of.

  25. steelcitychick says:

This is BULL SH*T……….when did her sex partner tell her that they were HIV postive!! When you lay down with someone that is the risk you are taking. People need to take responsibility for their stupidity, not blame it on someone else. She women should not have a prison sentence for not disclosing her HIV status!!

  26. GetLack says:

FUCK you POOPELE…..they are people, German, or not, they are people!

  27. mztique says:

well she was probably scared to know what they were gonna think of her if she told them.
