Pick-Up Lesson #7: Quick Action

girls bar

The girl is comfortable with you, slightly interested, and about to leave. You know that she’s not going to just come home with you. You just got her #, but you don’t want it to be awkward.

Here are some options:

“Call you for a coffee later?”

“I’m going to call you next week for dinner.”

The point is to establish that you are going to call her and you didn’t just get the number for nothing. If not, you might risk her not picking up, to avoid the awkward, “So…. what’s up?”

So it has taken us 7 lessons and a lot of commentary, but this stuff is what everyone wants to hear: how to close with a girl you’ve recently met.

Whereas a lot of other lessons, I’ve told you that it all depends on you, the girl, and the situation. There are so many personalities and qualities out there, that you’ve just got to find what works for you.

Now that you’ve talked to the girl for a while and she’s comfortable, how do you step it up a notch and get her motor going or just get the number and ensure she’s going to pick up?

Tact is probably the keyword. You have to keep her comfortable, interested, and excited about you, while letting her know you are interested. Easy? It can be.

You need to be prepared for this. Have a default line ready, like the coffee one. If you hate coffee, whatever, do something else with her. This technique sounds like throwing out lines, but it’s not. I once asked a girl if she wanted to go to the parade the next day. She got all excited and was pumped about going. When I called her in the morning, she was slightly disappointed about the parade, but the museum was fine too. When I told her it was just a line to ensure that she answered, she laughed, loved it, and we ended up having a great 2-week fling.
