Gadgets & Gizmos: Sony's Looking For Testers For "New Game Machine"

It’ll come as no surprise to anyone that keeps up with the gaming world that Sony’s PSP may be looking at a complete redesign, as the rumors have been circulating for a while. To check out what may be going on at Sony keep reading after the jump>>>
Further speculation was stirred up when an ad was posted on the job section of the Sony Entertainment Japan Website looking for an “evaluator/assessor” for their “new game machine.” This sounds like Sony has something new in the works.
The guys at GameSpot UK had the ad translated:
The job listing goes on to state that, if accepted, evaluator/assessor applicants will “be part of an advisory staff that will play PlayStation series software on this new machine and check its functionality. They will also be able to “test game machines not yet released or new functionality of PS3 peripherals before they are released.” (Emphasis added.)
Now we know we’re dealing with something dealing with the PSP’s but hasn’t bee released. GameSpot attempted to get a statement from the PR people at Sony, but they said they did not yet have a statement prepared, but were working on one. It certainly sounds like Sony’s either working on a new PSP or some peripheral component for the PS3 or PSP. It would come as no surprise if it were any three of these things, but I would certainly like to see something new from Sony in the way of PSP, wouldn’t you?
