WTF?!: Man Armed With Klingon Sword Robbs Convenience Stores

There are just some stories that are too good to be true.  Case in point, a Colorado man used a Klingon sword to hold up two convenience stores this past week.  In case you were wondering what that sword was and exactly what went on check out photo after the jump>>>

How would you react if a man armed with a weapon known as a Klingon bat’leth held you up at…bat’leth point?  Two different clerks in Colorado could actually let you know the answer to that.  Although it is unknown if the weapon was actually made of metal both clerks assumed it was and treated the weapon as though it was lethal.

Denver’s ABC Channel 7 news reports:

Colorado Springs police are looking for a man who hit two 7-Eleven convenience stores early Wednesday, armed with a Klingon sword. The first robbery was reported at 1:50 a.m., at 145 N Spruce St. The clerk told police a white man in his 20s, wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and wearing a black mask, entered the store with a weapon the clerk recognized from the Star Trek TV series.

The robber demanded money and left with an undisclosed amount.

 

This will probably have Trekkies everywhere in a tizzy.  The armed man did back to back robberies using his bat’leth.  There were no known accomplices and he walked out on his own.  Scotty did not beam him up.
