Stories Of The Absurd: Internet Porn Has Lead To A Drop In Rapes

After getting a bad rap for longer than necessary, an Ohio study claims that internet pornography is actually a champion of women’s rights. Nationwide, rape has dropped a staggering 30 percent in the last 15-years. The initial reaction has lead to the thought that sexy times on the internet is responsible.
Now this goes in direct opposition to the general mindset people have had regarding pornography. It’s been claimed numerous times that pornography leads to the disrespect of women and a rise in sex crimes across the board, giving men the tools they need by fortifying the itch the want to scratch.
According to the article in Ohio.com:
In 1992 — the Dark Ages of the Internet — about 43 people were raped among every 100,000 Americans, according to the FBI’s Uniform Crime Report. Since then, the rate has dropped to 30 per 100,000.
According to statistics, the rise in pornography on the internet has done exactly the opposite of what Women’s Rights Advocates have been claiming for years. Instead, pornography has worked in the best interest of women, the most common victims of sex crimes.
This is probably something that should have been easy see coming, pun intended. Internet pornography incorporates each and every sort of debasing fantasy that human kind could think up. So it would be a rational thought to assume the people that were afraid to obtain said bizarre pornography before the internet, finally could get ahold of it and exercise their demon, so to speak.
Anyways, I’ve always thought it was sort of hilarious the way people point fingers at pornography, because those are the same people that have sex with children and are generally lewd in public. How about they watch some porno and be lewd in private like the rest of us?

yea thats true hope it continues to drop till we all are safe
Yah! Yeah too busy jerking off to go rape someone…. haha
Toast to Porn!
Thats bullshit.Porn isn’t going to stop a rapist raping someone. They don’t rape for pleasure. They rape for CONTROL.Also, they don’t have to be attracted to their victims, the uglist girl could walk by and she’d be a target.I don’t feel like going into this now but all i have to say is get educated.
LOL @ DiD…
“All I have to say is get educated”…THAT’S WHAT THIS STUDY IS FOR! I am educated now and this study says Internet Porn has lead to a drop in rapes.
Now you should educate yourself and not generalize. Yes, serial rapist do it for self control, but what about that drunk Frat kid who would have raped a chick at a party he likes? That counts as a rape that’s prevented because he just squeezed one out before/after the party.
You sound like those Women Rights Advocates that Sabrina’s talking about.
