Rock Out with Your Sock Out: “Wanna Be in L.A.” by Eagles of Death Metal

As you all know, tonight is New Year’s Eve, and while the world gets ready to party like a rock star, I’m debating with the sad reality of just calling it a night and staying at home. Truth is I’m sick and don’t feel much like drinking and smoking tonight.

Until, that is, until, I popped in the new Eagles of Death Metal album, Heart On.  These mothereffers always get me in the mood to kick back some whiskey and let loose!

Fronted by fu-manchu lover Jesse “The Devil” Hughes, who cites Little Richard as one of his biggest musical influences, this garage-rock style band will make you want to dance and smash sh!t at the same time, all the while a big stupid grin on your face. The bands drummer is the ever-sexy Josh Homme, lead singer of stoner-rock band Queens of the Stone Age.

I have every single Eagles of Death Metal album, and I still think their debut album Peace, Love, Death Metal, is their best one to date, I’d be lying if I said I don’t enjoy rocking out to their new album, Heart On, with nothing but some whiskey in hand and my red, patent-leather Mary Jane stilettos.

So, go ahead, click play and give their new single “Wanna be in L.A.” a whirl. It’s definitely something worth listening to before you head outside your place to get sh!t-faced tonight.
