Douchebag of the Day: Lingerie Football Player Melissa Berry & Ex-Boyfriend Mark Dawson

I’m kind of irritated by the fact that there’s another story like this in the media, but I will address it anyway, if only to make fun of these two turds.
So this chick, Melissa Jo. Berry, she’s part of Tampa Bay’s lingerie football team, called the Tampa Bay Breeze. (There’s such a thing as lingerie football? Lame.) Apparently she dated this douchebag called Mark Dawson who wound up leaking nude photos of her onto the Internet after they broke up. She’s now suing for $15,000 for emotional damages.
According to her ex-boyfriend– who is a professional speaker at high schools and universities advocating “leadership, communication, safe dating, healthy relationships, and sexual assault awareness, prevention and education”– had taken the photos on his cellphone. He then showed the pictures to a couple of his buds, which caused Melissa to bust up his phone and destroy it. Mark, pissed at his phone being destroyed, called her mother and demanded that she pay up for the busted phone. When the mother and Melissa refused, he then posted the pictures online, and even e-mailed some to her mother.
Berry, 24, says her ex posted the nude photos onto MySpacewithout her permission. She claims he tried to “extort, humiliate, and hurt her” by publicly showcasing the images, the Tampa Bay Tribune reports. The images were reportedly taken on the man’s cell phone and are said to include at least one of Melissa Berry “engaged in a particularly private, intimate sexual act.”
Dawson’s defense, according to the Tribune: Melissa Berry posed for the nude photos at her own will, and he never made them public. Plus, the paper notes Dawson as saying, Berry used to be a dancer at an adult nightclub.
“For her to say that these pictures were taken against her knowledge is untrue because she is smiling in them,” Dawson is quoted as saying. “She takes her clothes off for a living and tells people I am doing all this other stuff. What she’s doing now is creating a drama because there are pictures out there of her.”
This story absolutely sickens me. First of all, ladies, stop letting guys take nude photos of you. Zero sympathy on my end. I’ve taken nude photos with only one ex of mine, and he doesn’t have a single copy. I’m like McGiver when it comes to that shit. I put that on a memory stick and buried it where nobody could ever find it.
Second of all, this guy is a complete and total turd and deserves to have bloody tampons flung at him. Yes, I said it and I mean it. This man is nothing but a hypocrite who goes around telling people how to have healthy sexual relationships, but then leaks photos of his ex like an immature little boy. Who cares if she busted your phone?! Grow a pair of balls and keep walking! Be the bigger man!
Honestly, the chick isn’t asking for all that much money. If it was in the millions or hundred thousands, I’d probably think she’s after him for the money, but $15k isn’t all that much when you consider how humiliating that must be. Whether or not she’s a stripper is completely irrelevant. I mean, cheese and rice, the guy e-mailed pics to her mother!

..coming from a person who has nude pictures of herself that she buries where no one can find them, while she has a website dedicated to posting nude pictures of other people, that’s funny.

Haha. Well, you know, I don’t consider myself a hypocrite, if you are implying that in any way. I have the photos, but I can assure they will never leak. And if they were to, then I’d deserve it. But this guy is just another Spitzer, telling people X&Y is wrong, and they do it themselves. I have nothing against nude photos, how could I when I’ve done it myself, but you don’t leave them in the hands of your ex! And just an FYI, I have sooo many nude photos of ex-boyfriends and if I wanted to I guess I could leak them and humiliate them. Actually, I have forwarded some to my girlfriends. Haha. I never said I was innocent! But I didn’t do it to destroy them, I did it ’cause it was funny. And b/c I’m pretty certain one of them used a penis pump before e-mailing me the pics. Alright, I’ll shut up now. But no, you won’t be seeing my nude photos, Jamman. Sorry!

Just to let you know, I AM Melissa’s mom. I know Melissa wasn’t too bright having this guy take photos when they were in the bedroom but, hey, he was supposed to be a “safe dating expert” with a business of public speaking about this topic! She thought he WAS SAFE to keep these photos private. After all, he’s supposed to be a mature (45) male! What a laugh! He is trying to ruin her but I believe it is going to backfire right in his face!
I think some of the anger is directed in the wrong direction. Mostly because only one side of the story has been told and its the only side the media wanted. The truth wouldnt make for a good story.
-The guy speaks occasionally on DATE RAPE. Not the “relationship” stuff this is being spun as or how the MOM is twisting it.
-They never dated or was her boyfriend. They worked out together.
-She asked him to take the pictures and even after texting them to her the same day she laughingly said her butt looked big.
-He did not show them around and did not post them all over the internet. If you believe that how come they have not turned up anywhere?
-Three months had past since the pictures and they stopped hanging out. A week before she pickpocket him while hugging him she was writing him asking to go out again and he has the emails to prove it.
-NEVER threatened to post online as MOM says and has emails to prove it. He threatened further “legal” action since he had not had her arrested yet for the theft which is a felony in FLA and it can still be done.
This is a low life uneducated girl whos such wonderful mom supports her stripping and bkini contest living. GREAT MOM. And now both are looking to cash in on her exposure from this.
