Yet Another Young Actress Wanting to Make Music

Paris, Lindsay, Scarlett, Hayden, and Heidi.  (Did I forget any??) Famed female celebutards crossing over to music has been very unfair to our ears over the last couple of years and it shows no signs of slowing down.  Aside from Kim Kardashian’s booty shaker music career waiting in the wings, now we have another celeb to add to the list.

Actress Leighton Meester of Gossip Girl fame recently talked to Access Hollywood about her plans to release an album.

She says “I am yeah, Technically, yeah I am. I mean, for real this time… I’ve always done [music], just now I am actually doing an album that I plan to release.”

She adds, “It’s so cool because it’s a completely different creative process, From beginning to end it’s yours and you make it… You can see the finished product. It’s sometimes hard when you’re acting to be like, ‘Oh I see the finished product right before my eyes.’ So it’s cool you’re there from start to finish when you are writing.”

Expect Leighton to unleash a tragic song addressed to her parents expressing feelings of mistrust and abandonment, à la Lindsay Lohan (Think “Confessions of a Broken Heart: Daughter to Father”).

In case you havent’ heard, Leighton Meester’s parents were criminals jailed for drug trafficking or some crazy nonsense.  Oh, and she was born in jail.  In other words, don’t expect her to dress up as a sexy cop or robber.  Unless your fetish is being beat the hell out of.
