Hit Me Baby One More Time

Britney Spears managed to hit a silver Mercedes station wagon while on her way to the pharmacy to pick up her anti-crazy pills. In true Britney fashion she then hit the car again with her door when she got out to inspect the damages. She left no note, of course. We’re surprised she didn’t have a meltdown on the spot, taking off her wig and throwing a tantrum on the floor. One can only hope.

Not only did Britney Spears ditch her interview with OK! Magazine, she’s gone ahead and done it again! Despite Allure Magazine’s desire to present Britney’s career as one capable of having a comeback, the fizzling pop star failed to show up for the interview even though they’d already shot the cover for the magazine.

The Editor in Chief Linda Wells writes: “I thought we could present the profile as her comeback. Britney showed up for Allure’s cover shoot on time and ready to work.

And just like in her OK! photo shoot, Britney’s bizarre behavior showed signs of a deeply disturbed person.

“She was entirely unselfconscious: She took off her wig and then stripped down to the waist, for no apparent reason, before sitting for hair and makeup.”

She notes that the star was “agreeable and co-operative,” but “that was the last we saw of her … she missed four appointments for an interview.”

She added: “Britney has long lost her role-model status … Spears still commands our attention, perhaps even more so now than before her life imploded.”

It’s been said that Hollywood is a forgiving town, but at this point I doubt there’s much hope for her. Right now it’s entertaining, but the more she behaves this way, the less uncommon it will become. Soon everyone will lose interest. Just give it a year.
