Britney Spears is on a 3-Day Psychiatric Hold at the UCLA Medical Center

Earlier this morning, at approximately 1:00 a.m., a calm Britney Spears was transported from her Studio City home to the UCLA Medical Center for treatment and evaluation.

According to TMZ, it was Brit’s psychiatrist who planned on hospitalizing her patient after she felt Brit’s condition had deteriorated. Spears had not slept for nearly 60 hours since Saturday.

Back at her house, Britney’s psychiatrist told her she was going to the hospital. Her response was, “Is something wrong?” She was not resistant. She made hot chocolate and waited before paramedics arrived and placed her on a gurney.

TMZ has also learned that an L.A. County Superior Court judge signed a “5150,” which means Britney will be placed on a three-day psychiatric hold. It was Brit’s psychiatrist who’d requested the 5150 last night.

However, it should be noted that mother Lynne, father Jamie, and brother Bryan have been “working closely with the LAPD for weeks” trying to get her the psychiatric care she needs.

Both Adnan Ghalib and Sam Lufti were present at her house when the ambulance and cops arrived to take Brit to the hospital.  Both men were also spotted at the hospital.

To be quite honest, I hope this is the last time both Britney and I have to go through this.  While I do feel for her and her mental state, I’m also tired of writing about it.  Let’s hope she gets the help she deserves so she can be beautiful again— on the outside, but most importantly on the inside, too.   Her sons need her.
