Michelle Williams & Matilda Arrive in NYC

Michelle Williams arrived with 2-year-old daughter Matilda at her Brooklyn home last night. The actress flew in from a film set in Sweden following former fiance Heath Ledger was pronounced dead. The couple had separated in September.

“I can’t believe Matilda is going to grow up without a dad, without knowing her father,” another source told People Magazine. “And that Michelle will have to deal with having a daughter who’s lost her father. She’s a survivor. She’ll make it, but it’s going to be hard. Her first concern is going to be Matilda.”

Ledger’s death remains a mystery still, but further toxicology and tissue testing will be conducted in hopes to determine the cause of death.

Police have not disclosed the number of prescription drugs found in Ledger’s apartment, but have clarified that no illegal drugs were found on the scene. As for that rolled-up $20 bill that was said to be found in the room? It tested negative for drug residue.

So sad. The two had just separated in September so I think it’s safe to say they were each probably going through a mourning period. It’s always hard to say goodbye to that which makes your heart race, even if in the end it’s not what it once was. Best of luck to Michelle and her baby girl.
