Check it out, these are the pics from the Surfrider Foundation calendar in which sexy women are depicted wearing oil bikinis. What, you ask, is the meaning behind the oil bikinis?

[...] this creative calendar for the Surfrider Foundation in Europe. (The organization’s mission is to protect the ocean and its coastlines.)

Highlighting last year’s catastrophic oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, the calendar shows scantily clad models wearing nothing but oil. It was designed to help recruit new volunteers to the Surfrider Foundation.

Sign us up, we’re in! Just don’t expect us to put on one of those oil bikinis. As for the mission, you can count on F-Listed. We care about women and the environment.

The funny thing about this shoot is that, unless we’re being completely naive, if that is indeed real oil on those ladies it looks like the Surfrider Foundation might have added a few extra gallons in their attempt to fight against the spill. That of course is just a drop in the bucket, but, well, it’s just an observation. How about those pics??
