This Makes Sense: Harold Camping Reschedules the End of the World for October 21, 2011; If You’re Available
If at first you don’t succeed, try, try and try again. That’s what nut-job evangelist Harold Camping is doing after he already missed the mark twice, most recently suggesting the world would end this past Saturday, May 21, 2011. Now he’s gone and done it again, saying that he missed the actual date by some five months. Look, it happens to the best of us.
The great thing about this new prediction is that he’s now declaring that the May 21, 2011, Judgement Day was an “invisible” one and that what we just witnessed was the “spiritual coming.” Got it. Welp, all we can do now is start the clock and prepare ourselves for theĀ real Rapture on October 21, 2011!
If it helps, Camping is saying that this time he’s absolutely certain that the world will end and assures us that it will be very quick. Hopefully, nuts like Robert Fitzpatrick aren’t buying this.
The understatement of the year, after the jump.
