Wow…

First off, EVERYONE is a little TOO hype… Yes. Janet IS still relevant and will always be. She was the one to ORIGINATE this sound of Pop music that Britney and Beyonce have been IMITATING from the beginning of their careers. Her ENTIRE family revolutionized pop music and her brother STILL inspires dancers and singers to this day!!!

That being said, she IS old. So you can’t be surprised that YOUNGER people who have no connection to Rhythm Nation or Control to understand that their favorite artist was INSPIRED by those albums…

And as for what Americans like??? I’m an American musician and internet radio show host who LOVES GOOD MUSIC!!! People, we are all entitled to our opinions and our tastes, but let’s understand that generic Pop (the kind where Auto-Tune, look it up, is used in EVERY song) is NOT artistic music. It’s solely for the purpose of dancing, not feeling. Learn the difference people… Janet has even admitted she’s a “performer” not a “singer.” The difference is that a Singer can actually sing but may not be a great dancer… A performer performs but may not be a great singer…

First off, Janet is not making a come back…. she never left….. 2nd her album did acceptional for someone who did not use MTV for any pub…. she also made it to #2 on the BB charts….
