An Angelina-less Tomb Raider?

Well this news a bit bittersweet. While it’s awesome that GK Films and producer Graham King have acquired the rights to do a reboot of the Tomb Raider series, it makes me a little sad to think that Angelina Jolie probably won’t be rocking those teeny shorts and tight tanks. Sigh. Find out more about the next installment of Tomb Raider after the jump.

Slate for a 2013 release, the next Tomb Raider is expected to feature a “young and dynamic” Lara Croft, a bill that the 35-year-old Angelina simply doesn’t fit. And while we’ll miss those bangin’ curves, at least it looks as if there’s no hard feelings as Angelina said back in 2004:

“I don’t think so. I just don’t feel like I need to, because I felt very happy with the last one, which was kind of the one we wanted to do. The first one kind of frustrated us, because we were trying something new. The second one, I felt like that’s kind of how I wanted to do it, and I don’t really feel the need to do another one.”
