Aww, Sadface, Snooki Won’t Be In MTV’s NYE Ball

Well the idea was fun while it lasted. Turns out Snooki won’t be all up in some New Year’s Eve balls after all. Find out what happened to MTV’s ingenious plan after the jump.

Though everyone was eagerly anticipating Snooki crawling into MTV’s NYE ball on Friday, they’re just going to have to find a way to get through that magically debauched night. When city officials heard about the plan to stuff Snickers into the ball, they were none too pleased.

A source told Popeater:

“No way would they allow this to take place. MTV rents a position in the Square that night like every other media outlet. You can’t get access to the Square without an official credential. You have to play by the official rules or you get kicked out, which is exactly what has happened to MTV and Snooki.”

And we all know Snooki ain’t about some rules, so we shouldn’t be surprised this thing didn’t really pan out.
