Man Goes Blind From Climaxing During Sex

Well that’s a terrible way to end a night. Two students recently came across a story about an unnamed male patient who seemed to go blind every time he climaxed. But before you start freaking out that the next time you give your wrist a workout you could lose your sight, rest assured it probably won’t happen to you. The man’s temporary blindness was attributed to vasoconstriction, a narrowing of blood vessels by muscles in their walls. The report said:

“Hypothetical mechanisms of transient monocular visual loss in our patient include vasoconstriction or embolism in the arterial blood supply of the eye. The repeated and completely transient nature of our patient’s symptoms supports the fact that embolism was not involved.”
